Description

Thank you for visiting our site. Items will be shipped from Japan after confirmation by Japanese staff. We hope that we can be of any help to you. Description [Juzu] Juzu is the Buddhist rosary which has 108 main beads representing 108 worldly sins. People hold the rosaries over their joined hands as they recite invocations. In addition to the 108 Omodama(main beads), there are also Oyadama(big beads) and Tendama(small beads). This is a Nichiren Shoshu prayer bead for men with "Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo" carved into the Yakusugi cedar that grows wild on Yakushima Island, a World Heritage site. Yakusugi cedar is now banned for logging, and only some fallen trees from typhoons and other natural disasters are permitted to be harvested. Yakusugi, which has lived in a harsh natural environment for more than 1,000 years, has an abundance of resin to protect itself, which releases a healing fragrance. You can feel the aura of life of the mysterious Yakusugi cedar, which is said to be the "home of the gods," and the ancient forest. Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo" is an important Buddhist mantra of Nichiren Shu and Hokke Shu, and is considered to be a source of spiritual comfort. The mystical Yakusugi cedar, which is said to be the "dwelling place of the gods," is carefully and meticulously carved with "Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo" on it, so that you can always feel the merit and virtue close at hand. The tassel is a beautiful and supple Kyoto-made pure silk flower Brahma tassel with an image of a lotus flower. It comes with a tag of Kyoto Bead Manufacturing Wholesalers Association, which only traditional "Kyo-nenju" are allowed to put on. It is a gem tailored by the master craftsman of Kyoto. Black Onyx Onyx is said to have the power to shake off evil thoughts and bad spirits and give us reason. It is also said that Onyx gives us perseverance and strength of will to move forward. Onyx is also called "the symbol of success" and is said to support people to accomplish their goals without giving up. Please note that the photos may vary to some degree from the actual products.
