This is a Soto Zen Buddhist prayer bead for men made of black onyx, a natural stone with a beautiful, shiny, jet-black luster, and a dragon-carved crystal for the bead. Black onyx, with its tough look and formal atmosphere due to its color, is very popular among men. The big bead is made of a dignified dragon-carved crystal, giving the bead an outstanding sense of power that can only be produced by this bead. The five-clawed dragon was only allowed to be used by emperors in China since ancient times. The five-clawed dragon is said to have the power to grasp "status", "honor", "power", "fortune" and "prosperity" with its five claws.
